CSX Virginia Avenue Tunnel Community Mitigation Fund Information Page

NSC Partners was awarded & will oversee this $650,000 fund* and will be responsible for managing a determined Community Committee that helped

develop criteria to administer it. The Committee votes** on all applications in a fair, objective and unbiased manner. The decisions are final.

The Third Party Adminstrator (NSCP) will manage the fund throughout the construction period (projected to be 36-42 months).

This fund, which will be dispursed in phases over the next three (3) years, is designed to enhance the community.

Are you applying for funds or filing a claim? An application for funds may actually be a claim. If so, then representatives 

from the CSX Claims Department (861 New Jersey Avenue SE Community office) will be glad to assist you. 

 

Are you a front row resident or live in the Senior building? If so, CSX will handle your questions or claims directly.

Giving money away is easy, but doing it effectively is a lot harder.

 

The NSCP board worked hard to select a committee that represents the diversity of the Virginia Avenue Tunnel

neighborhood, and to assemble a group that is thoughtful, objective and dedicated in evaluating proposals and award funding.

 

CSX VAT Community Mitigation Fund Committee  & NSCP held its inaugural meeting on May 18, 2015 to establish criteria and procedures

for disbursing funds. Public comment on the criteria ended on June 30, 2015 and the Final Criteria has been released.

The Final award Phase ended March 15, 2018.

 

Phase 6 (Final Phase) Closed on March 15, 2018

The Fund has benefitted thousands and will continue to do so for years to come.
